Rahul set to revive Party in UP

Congress vice-president, Rahul Gandhi is busy chalking out strategy for a revival plan for the Party in this biggest state of the country. Interestingly, despite of failing to get desired success even afterleading the poll campaign during 2012 Assembly elections, Yuvraj had decided  to once again lead the Party’s revival from the front and even set coming March, as a deadline for himself to began the exercise in Uttar Pradesh.

Though the mode of how Rahul would reach to everyone has been notclear so far, but sources maintained that he would organise  programs in each and every district and would make a `connect’ with the maximum public much ahead of announcement of next Assembly elections scheduled to take place in 2017. Interestingly, this time Rahul sister, Priyanka Gandhi, would help her brother in building up atmosphere in favour of Congress by exposing the wrong-doings of both Central as well as state governments.

It may be mentioned here that Priyanka during her two day visit to Rae Bareli in this week, had already decided phase-wise six-months long agitation against Narendra Modi’s government during which the Party would try to get the people realise that how Modi had cheated them in the name of assuring `Achche Din’ (Good Days).

``If Arvind Kejriwal can do it in New Delhi within months of formationof Aap Party, why not we could do it in Uttar Pradesh when we are the oldest political outfit in the country and still had trusted Congressmen across the State’, reportedly asserted Rahul Gandhi during a recent meeting with Congress leaders who were associated with different wings of the Party. Sources said that Congress Yuvraj while trying to boost the morale of the Party leaders, reportedly said that he would work personally in Uttar Pradesh to ensure the revival of the Party.

``Rahul Gandhi knew that without reviving the Party in Uttar Pradesh,it is very difficult for anyone to think of regaining power in New Delhi also so he wanted to win back trust of the public in this biggest state, hence he decided to take the command in his own hand and lead the Party back to rule in the next Assembly elections”, disclosed a senior Congress leader who is also a general secretary in Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee. The leader disclosed that Rahul Gandhi is doing exercise to identify those who done more damage to the Party in UP than contributing in strengthening the Party.

``Very soonthose big leaders who were engaged in politics for personal gain and are contributing nothing for the Organisation and even doing more damage by creating resentment within the Party cadre, would be pushed aside”, claimed the leader adding that those faces in the Party, who were not only loyalists but were ready to do anything for revival of the Congress would be given specific `task’ by Rahul Gandhi. The above leader disclosed that Rahul is chalking out strategy that how he could directly connect with the people and raised their `voice’ at the right platform to get their problems solved.

``UnitedProgessive Alliance government had executed many policies for welfare of the common people but we failed to communicate it rightly so Rahul feels that what is more important for us is to made the people feel that we are there to look into their problems and get it solved and that we are not just making politics”, the leader added while claiming that the defeat of the Party in last Parliament elections is more due to wrong campaign launched against them by the media so now their main task is to tell the truth behind it to the public to win their confidence back.
