With Union government decision to merge the General and Railway budget, Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday mooted an idea of bringing a separate 'Union Kisan Budget' by the Centre so that the farmers can be benefited.
"I want to suggest PM Modi that they should bring a separate budget for the farmers. This Kisan budget should exclusively deal with the budgetary provisions schemes and projects to benefit the farmers," he said during a public meeting in Kanpur Dhat on 14th day of his Deoria se Delhi Kisan yatra.
Gandhi said that he will raise the issue in the lok Sabha pressing for the 'Kisan budget'. He said along with this, the issue of waiver of loan of the farmers, increasing the Minimum Support Price(MSP) and reducing the power tariff down by 50 per cent, would also be raised in the Winter session of the Parliament. Speaking to the people during his road show, the Congress vice-president continued his attack on Modi with terming him and BJP as 'religious dalal' on the issue of cow slaughter.
"PM during his last 2 and a half years regime, has never said one truth and continue to lie everywhere inside country or outside," he alleged. Gandhi said in no religious book there is written that one should terrorize other but BJP was doing so. "PM talks how he is a savvier of cow but has he saved any cow. Modi just talks about cow to politicise the atmosphere," he further said while appealing to the people to remove the ' coward' government the Union government.
Earlier during his khat sabha in Kanpur dehat, the Congress vice-president also hit out at the BSP president Mayawati. "Ek haathi aaya usne sab kuch kha liya. Woh Kanshiram ji ko bhi kha gaya, unke kaam karne ka tarika bhi kha gaya.Aur kanshiram ne jo khoon pasina diya use bhi kha gaya (One elephant came who ate everything. He also swallowed Kanshiram and his work style besides efforts to accelerate the development)”, asserted Rahul while accusing Mayawati and her government for involving in huge corruption. Rahul said that when UPA government was in power, they sanctioned money to lay a power station here in Ghatampur but that money has been also siphoned off and so far nothing has been done.
