With speculations ripe over induction of former Food and Civil Supplies Minister Raghu Raj Pratap Singh alias Raja Bhaiya in the cabinet; a section of party workers staged a demonstration in front of Samajwadi Party office here against his induction.
"We are against induction of Raghuraj Pratap Singh in the cabinet," protesters who were carrying the placard of Yadav Sena said. The protesters, who claimed to be hailing from Kunda, the native place of Raja Bhaiya, staged the demonstration hours before UP cabinet reshuffle was to take place.
"Mulayam Singh should not make Raja Bhaiya minister again," the protesters shouted. The former minister had put in his papers after his name was dragged into the killings of Kunda DySP Zia-ul-Haq, village head Nanhe Yadav and his brother Suresh Yadav. The widow of slain police officer blamed Raja Bhaiya for hatching a conspiracy against her husband. later Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav inducted two new faces in his ministery and elevated two other state ministers - thus avoiding controversy over raja Bhaiya’s induction.
