Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will make a two day visit to her mother and Congress president Sonia Gandhi’s parliamentary constituency Rae Bareli, from coming Monday. This will her second tour to Rae Bareli this month. Earlier she visited along with her mother and local
MP Sonia Gandhi who laid foundation for several projects including a AIIMS like hospital in her Parliament constituency besides rail wheel factory in lalganj, just adjacent to Rail Coach Factory. Reports said that during her two day visit to her mother’s constituency, Priyanka will hold meeting regarding strengthening of the Organisation in the district where Congress failed to open account in the last Assembly election even when it was represented by her mother Sonia and Priyanka herself nursed the constituency.
Interestingly, since the Party faced humiliating defeat in last Assembly elections, Gandhi family, particularly Priyanka and Rahul were visiting Amethi and Rai Bareli almost every alternate month. In last two months, they made about half a dozen visits. Just in this month, while Sonia Gandhi laying foundation of several projects in her constituency, Rahul done the same for mega food park in Amethi.
It may be also mentioned that soon after Priyanka will leave for New Delhi after completing her two day tour on coming Tuesday, her brother Rahul will camp in the State on Wednesday during which he will hold two big rallies in Rath (Hamirpur) and Salempur (Deoria). Almost entire State Congress leaders were already on the job to make these rallies successful as during last rallies in Aligarh and Rampur earlier this month, very thin gathering has been witnessed to hear Rahul.
