To keep momentum of the party, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will kick-start 'Hath Se Hath Jodo' campaign on the day the Bharat Jodo Yatra campaign ends in Srinagar on January 26.
Through this campaign, the Congress will take forward the message of the Bharat Jodo Yatra.
Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will lead the two-month-long nationwide campaign, especially in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, focusing on half the population, i.e., women.
During the campaign, padyatras and rallies would be organised with Priyanka Gandhi undertaking foot march with women in each state capital to spread the message of Bharat Jodo Yatra. During this, issues related to inflation and women will be specially raised.
Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee spokesman Pankaj Tiwari said that starting from January 26, 2023, the 'Hath Se Hath Jodo' campaign would be run in three phases.
The campaign will be organised in the first phase at village and block levels, in the second phase at the district level and in the third phase at the state level.
This public dialogue programme will be an extension of the stupendous success of the Bharat Jodo Yatra. Door-to-door contact will be made through padyatra, in which besides meeting people and giving them the basic message of Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Yatra, a letter of Rahul Gandhi will also be handed over to the public.
The spokesman said that state level senior leaders of the Pradesh Congress Committee, parliamentarians, former ministers, former parliamentarians etc. would be appointed as observers for each district.
In the same sequence, the District Congress Committee would appoint senior Congress leaders, former legislators, former district presidents as supervisors of each block.
President of Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee and former MP Brijlal Khabri said that crores of rupees were spent by the Bharatiya Janata Party to tarnish the image of Rahul Gandhi, but his Bharat Jodo Yatra destroyed their plans.
He said that the way the people of the country supported Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Yatra, was proof that the people of the country were troubled by the anti-people policies of the Bharatiya Janata Party and wanted a change. “The Congress party will definitely form the government in the coming Lok Sabha elections,” he said.
He said that the objective was to take Bharat Jodo Yatra to every village under the “Hath Se Hath Jodo campaign”.
