Alleging increase in administrative anarchy in Uttar Pradesh state unit of BJP said recovery of incriminating materials inside jails shows that even prison inmates are enjoying political patronage. “Recovery of maps of Rashtrapati Bhawan, BSF posts and other high security places, and pen drive from an inmate in Moradabad jail reflects the prevailing lawlessness in the state,” BJP spokesman Vijay Bahadur Pathak said in a statement issued here on Monday.
He said recovery of many cell phones, SIM cards, drugs and micro-chips from inside prisons during Sunday’s raid in Moradabad jail shows that authorities are hand in gloves with criminals. Pathak sought response from Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on how such things found their way into jails. “Not only the law and order is bad now the administrative anarchy has set in. If free hand is given to prisoners it is anybody’s guess as what could happen in jails,” he said and demanded action against all the erring officials.
