Pravasi Diwas as a family show?

Raising serious concern over the Uttar Pradesh Pravasi Diwas, the state unit of Bharatiya Janata party said that until the government takes appropriate action, this function would be reduced to a family show.

“There is no denying the fact that UP has unlimited resources and opportunities. But it is responsibility of the government to provide good infrastructure to the investors, and that commitment is lacking,” BJP spokesman Vijay Bahadur Pathak said in lucknow on Tuesday.

Briefing newsmen, Pathak said that the CM gets irritated when people ask him questions. “Same thing happened in Agra, when NRIs asked about the progress in improving infrastructure. The CM spoke about the Agra-lucknow Expressway but did not clarify as to how much work has been completed,” he said.

“The Akhilesh Yadav government had earlier organised Agra summit and then an industrial meet in Mumbai. In both, he failed to assure investors about improvement in law and order as well availability of power,” Pathak said.

He said that the BJP also wants that the state should progress but for that the government should have to take a lead. It should have a work plan and should know where it wants to focus on.

“The state government should invite people. But before that it should improve ionfrastructure otherwise these meets would be reduced to a family function like Saifai Mahotsava,” he said.

Pathak said that Akhilesh Yadav is left with just one year and hence his focus of governance should be improving law and order and once it is done, other things will fall at place.
