Buoyant by the presence of lakhs of youths during the flagging off of `Samajwadi Vikas Rath Yatra, CM Akhilesh Yadav’s wife and Kannauj MP Dimple Yadav said that the generation next was looking towards Akhilesh as he is their future.
In an informal chat with reporters in lucknow on Thursday, Dimple said that it was a historic moment. “look at the crowd. Majority of them are youths. This is a historic beginning, we can see so much youth force. We are very positive about the elections,” she said.
Dimple made it clear that youths of the state were looking towards Akhilesh as he was their future. “These youths are future of the party and they are here because of the call given by Akhilesh,” she said.
“When Akhilesh was sworn in as Chief Minister, he was called a trainee CM. Now he has gained experience and if given a second term, he would emerge as one of the most successful CM of the country,” she said.
“The Samajwadi Party government has performed well in these four years and we are asking for people’s support on the basis of this work,” Dimple said.
When asked about the family feud, she denied that there was any rift within the family or the party. “Everyone is united so that the party can retain power,” she said.
Another SP MP and expelled leader Ram Gopal Yadav’s son Akshay Yadav said that next election will be contested on the name of Akhilesh. “See the multitude of youth who have come here for Akhilesh. All of them want to see him as the next Chief Minister,” he said.
