In yet another glaring example of deteriorating law and order situation, a police team from Ferojabad, which went to arrest criminals had to fled after one of the miscreants opened fire and challenged them, on Saturday morning. later, when the criminal escaped, more police force has been summoned from the district and they said to have launched a massive search but failed to make any breakthrough till the night.
Reports said that the cops of Ramgarh and Uttar police stations of Ferojabad, went to arrest a dreaded criminal Nakul Yadav, wanted in connection with a loot case, on Jalesar Road, on Saturday morning. The cops raided his house and get success in nabbing four criminals including Nakul. However, the situation turned ugly as the cops left the house to take the accused to jail. Reports said that Nakul’s brother, Monu Yadav, who too was a criminal and had came out from jail just a week back, reached to the terrace of his house and opened fire at police party, challenging them either to set all the accused free or be ready to face the consequences.
Sources said that he fired several round after which the cops released the criminals but tried to round up Monu, following which he threatened to shot himself. The cops subsequently left the scene following which taking advantage, Monu too jumped and escaped till the cops returned to nab him. Separate teams have been now formed to arrest the criminals and a case in this regard has been also registered with Uttar police station.
