Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address a Vijay Sankalp Rally near Ayodhya on Wednesday but is unlikely to visit Ram Janmabhoomi and have a darshan of Ram Lalla.
A senior leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party said that the Prime Minister would address election meetings at Gossaiganj in Ambedkar Nagar district, close to Ayodhya, and Kaushambi on Wednesday, but was not likely to offer prayers at Ram Janmabhoomi.
The opposition has been questioning why Modi has not visited Ayodhya during his five-year tenure despite the BJP advocating the construction of Ram temple at Ram Janmabhoomi complex.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath would accompany the Prime Minister in these rallies.
Meanwhile, Yogi will address five rallies in Dumariyaganj, Ambedkar Nagar, Sitapur, Basti and Sant Kabir Nagar. BJP state president Mahendra Nath Pandey will also address rallies in Rae Bareli and Malihabad.
