Prime Minister Narendra Modi enquired about the health of former UP Chief Minister Kalyan Singh, who is undergoing treatment at the Sanjay Gandhi Post-Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences in Lucknow.
Modi spoke to the ailing Bharatiya Janata Party leader’s son and MP from Etah, Rajveer Singh, on Monday to get first-hand information on the health of Kalyan Singh and later also spoke to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on this score.
Kalyan Singh was admitted to SGPGIMS in Lucknow on Sunday after his condition deteriorated. Singh, a former Governor of Rajasthan, was admitted to Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences in Lucknow on Saturday night but when his condition did not improve, he was shifted to SGPGIMS where a panel of doctors from nephrology, cardiology, neurology, endocrinology and neuro ontology was formed to monitor his health and prescribe treatment.
The BJP’s Ram Mandir mascot of the 1990’s, Singh has been unwell for almost two weeks and attending doctors said that his blood pressure and heart rate were normal but the level of consciousness was slightly lower. Keeping in mind his many existing ailments, he has been kept in the Intensive Care Unit of CCM.
