State BJP state chief Keshav Prasad Maurya declared that Akhilesh Yadav would be the last member of the Yadav clan to rule UP as people would vote out the ruling SP and replace it with the BJP.
“It is the requiem for the Yadav dynasty in UP. Mark my words, Akhilesh Yadav is the last CM from Mulayam Singh Yadav’s family and Akhilesh knows it. Two months back, he was saying that the SP will form the government. Now he is using 'likely' and saying that if the SP comes to power, he will fix prices of essentials,” Maurya said in Gorakhpur where he had gone to inspect the land where PM Narendra Modi will lay the foundation of AIIMS on July 22.
The BJP leader chief said that his party would form a majority government in UP. "In 2014 lok Sabha elections, the BJP had won in 337 Assembly segments and it will replicate the performance this time too," Maurya said.
“People are fed up with the SP rule. Even policemen are bearing the brunt and more than 150 men in uniform have been killed while 155 were injured in clashes with criminals in the state. Even SP chief Mulayam Singh Yadav has scolded workers for their involvement in encroachment of land,” he said.
"Criminals are fearless in this SP regime as they are patronised by the ruling party. This is the reason why doctors, teachers and government employees are being beaten up," he said.
Maurya demanded CBI probes into Mathura, Kairana and Muzaffarnagar incidents and questioned, “If the SP government is not involved in these why is it not ordering CBI probe.”
Maurya pointed out, "The SP government has failed in every aspect. This government is celebrating the current fiscal as 'kisan varsh' but farmers are committing suicide because the government failed to clear their dues."
Criticizing the polices of the SP, the BSP and the Congress, the BJP leader said that all three had the same character. “When BJP comes to power, ganglords, land-mafia and petty criminals will be behind bars,” he said.
In reply to a question as to who will be the CM face of the BJP, Maurya said that it will be decided by the party. “A dedicated party worker will be the CM face,” he said.
