Expressing happiness over the victory of Grand Alliance (GA) in Bihar the Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee Chief Nirmal Khatri said that a new political alignment has emerged as people have negated communal and divisive forces.
“This result is a clear signal that people want development not bhashan baazi. The false promises do not work any more. In democracy people’s power is supreme,” Khatri said in a statement here on Sunday.
He said that BJP had won lok Sabha elections through jumla baazi. People now realise that BJP does not have leadership that can deliver. Thus, what happened in Bihat is quite understandable. This result will be replicated across the state, he said.
Khatri said that Samajwadi Party and Bahujan Samaj Party did everything to ensure victory for BJP in Bihar but people of Bihar have ignored them outrightly. “Both these parties failed to open their accounts and majority of the candidates lost their deposits,” Congress Chief said adding that SP and BSP will not do well in the UP elections too..
Khatri said that Bihar election has given a new power to Congress. “Our workers are enthusiastic now. The election results have given us new hope. The party will win 2017 Vidhan Sabha elections,” he said.
