Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the Bharatiya Janata Party had attained an inaccessible lead in five phases of assembly polls and the party was poised to hit a ‘sixer’ in the final phase to romp home with 300 plus seats.
Addressing an election rally in Pipraich assembly constituency of Gorakhpur on Monday, Yogi said that the people here had completely rejected the “hardcore dynasts” and lotus (the symbol of BJP) was sure to bloom at every booth in Gorakhpur.
Mounting the attack on the opposition, the chief minister termed it as futile to trust those opportunist leaders who kept changing friends with every election.
"Our government's sentiments are with every section of society but Samajwadi Party's support base is with terrorists. The SP government was the first withdraw cases against terrorists," he said.
Yogi further said, "All-around development has been ensured under the BJP government. If our double-engine government returns to power again, then all women over 60 years old will be given free access to travel in state buses."
Targeting the appeasement policy of SP, the chief minister said that earlier electricity was only provided on the occasions of Eid-Bakrid while there were power cuts during Holi and Deepawali. "For the first time, government schemes are reaching every individual in the state," he claimed.
Mentioning the efficiency of the Covid vaccine, Yogi said that free vaccine was given to all under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi which would not have been possible if there was an Samajwadi Party or Bahujan Samaj Party government.
Highlighting the work done by the BJP government, he said that no riots took place in the last five years, nor any woman or businessman suffered harassment in UP.
"We did what we said. We also promise to provide government jobs or employment to one youth of every family in the next five years," he added.
The chief minister further said that a grand Ram temple was being built in Ayodhya presently and the BJP regime had provided good air and road connectivity. "At present, there are 14 flights from Gorakhpur and Kushinagar International Airports is also operational," he said.
The chief minister further charged that the SP never worked for development and the Pipraich sugar mill was closed and sold off at throwaway prices.
"When the BJP government was formed, a new sugar mill was established in Pipraich," he reminded.
Yogi said that if the BJP government returned to power, free cooking gas cylinders would be provided to every beneficiary of Ujjwala scheme on Holi and Diwali.
"Also, women above the age of 60 years will be given free travel in the UP Statr Road Transport Corporation buses. Besides, the amount of money given under Kanya Sumangala Yojana will be increased to Rs 25,000, and Rs 1 lakh will be transferred to beneficiaries under Mukhyamantri Samuhik Vivah Yojana," he said
