Party to celebrate May 26 as Vikas Parv: Maurya

BJP state chief Keshav Prasad Maurya said that the party would celebrate May 26 - the day PM Narendra Modi completes two years in office - as Vikas Parv as in this period the BJP-led NDA government had transformed the lives of people.

"The Modi government is pro-farmer and pro-poor. People have benefited from the policies of the Union government. In two years, the Modi government is in a position to go to people with its report card as we have worked at the ground level," said Maurya while highlighting the PM’s rally in Saharanpur on Thursday.

"People who benefited from the government schemes will swarm the rally ground. The BJP’s rally is bound to be a great success," he said.

The BJP leader said that this was a transparent government where every government decision could be questioned. The PM is interacting with people regularly to get feedback. Changes are made, if required, as per the wishes of people," he said.

Meanwhile, 45 Union ministers and senior leaders will address various rallies across UP in the next one week starting May 26. The leaders will apprise the people of development schemes launched by the NDA government and how these decisions have transformed their lives.

Union Health minister JP Nadda will hold a rally in Varanasi on May 27 while Union HRD minister Smriti Irani will go to Gorakhpur on a two-day visit starting May 27.
