The state unit of BJP said that popularity of Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi has made all political parties cagey and now they are propagating communal politics to divert people’s attention from the failure of UPA Government.
"Both Samajwadi Party and Bahujan Samaj Party are in league with Congress and they are now trying to shield UPA Government by playing communal politics," BJP spokesman Vijay Bahadur pathak said here on Tuesday. During his daily press briefing here he said that SP and BSP should have raised the corruption charges in UPA Government. But with Monsoon session of the Parliament round the corner the Congress has brokered peace with SP by diluting charges under DA case, and now the SP is signing paeans of Congress, he said.
"The writing is very clear on the wall. The Congress-led UPA needs the support of Samajwadi party to allow safe passage for Food Security Bill and by diluting charges against Mulayam Singh Yadav the Congress has thrown a carrot towards SP," Pathak said. He also said that one of the senior ministers in Mulayam Singh Yadav cabinet Md Azam Khan had said that Muslims are being ignored in government appointments. His Government is in power for almost 15 months. He should tell people what he has done for the welfare of the Muslims, the BJP spokesman said. "Instead of grumbling the BSP and SP should follow the politics and development and help the people get their dues," he said.
