Giving a clarion call to the people to give a clear mandate to Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in coming lok Sabha election Goa's chief minister Manohar Parrikar asked people to give 50 seats to BJP so that the party could teach Akhilesh Yadav government a lesson.

"In UP the government has imposed various taxes and are collecting revenue which is being spent in vested interest by Akhilesh Yadav and Mulayam Singh Yadav. If BJP gets 50 seats in UP we will form a government in centre and will teach Akhilesh and his government a much needed lesson," he stated. He was speaking in an 'Intellectual Meet' organised by an  organisation 'Friends of BJP' on Tuesday at Scientific Convention Centre in the state capital.

Talking about Third Front he said: "The third front is like 10 laddus spread among 100 people which is not sufficient. So it is not going to have much impact in the upcoming general elections. BJP and Congress are the main contenders. People are tired of corruption and inflation that is why there is a need to change the government at centre.". He accused SP government of looting people. He expressed concern over increase in corruption and development law and Order problem in the state. Profit can be achieved by overthrowing corruption from the state. Corruption always hinders the progress.

"People will have to be aware about their loss in the tenure of the current government. There is a need to change the government for the betterment of the country. People will have to shoulder the responsibility and vote for BJP in the lok Sabha elections. Bring Narendra Modi for faster growth," he said. He further dismissed the impact of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in lok Sabha election. AAP is not BJP's main cause of concern for the lok Sabha elections. AAP and the so called third front will not have a great impact on the lS polls. The main fight will be between Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) and the Congress. We will change the face of the state and nation as well, if we come in power. He said that AAP did not have a pan India approach at grass root level thus it would not be in a position to form the government at centre.

Uttar Pradesh is the has the largest number of parliament constituencies so it has a major and significant role to play. People will have to be aware about problems spread in the state and should vote for BJP for proper development of the society. "There is a need to form BJP's government under the leadership of Modi for much needed positive changes in the system. This will only be possible when BJP is given a clear mandate. We will not disppoint and live up to the expectations of the citizents of the country if we come in power," he appealed.

BJP's State President laxmikant Bajpai also said that thrice the Goa state was declared the best state in the surveys of Planning Commission of India. If BJP comes in power UP would also become the best state of the country. Several senior leaders of BJP including MP, lucknow, lalji Tondon, Rameshwar Chaurasiya, national convenor Friend of BJP Manoj Arora etc were also present in the programme.
