Former minister of state lakshmi Kant Nisshad alias Pappu Nishad, has been appointed as the chairman of the UP state bridge corporation. He was sacked from the council of minister by the chief minister Akhilesh Yadav on Monday. Chief Minister had expanded the cabinet where he had inducted four new cabinet ministers and had promoted four ministers of state to cabinet rank.
lakshmi Kant Nishad is the Samajwadi party MlA from Sant kabir nagar district in east UP. He belongs to the politically significant most backward caste Nishad. He has been accommodated in the power structure by the chief minister in view of the electoral significance of his community in the election year.
