Reacting to the threat of Hindu Yuva Vahani of preventing the entry of Asaduddin Owaisi into Gorakhpur, the All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul Muslimeen (AIMIM) president has decided to skip his visit on April 23. Owaisi was slated to visit Gorakhpur after visiting Sant Kabirnagar
Hindu Yuva Vahini is headed by BJP MP from Gorakhpur, Mahant Adityanath. The outfit has also announced to oppose Owisi's visit to other east UP districts like Siddhartha Nagar and Azamgarh.
In the run up to the 2017 Assembly polls in UP, the AIMIM has drawn up a plan to rope in Dalit leaders, Muslim clerics and popular Islamic seminaries. The Hyderabad-based outfit will focus in over 100 Muslim dominated Assembly seats of UP.
." Owaisi's visit to Gorakhpur has been postponed due to some reasons," state AIMIMN chief Shaukat Ali said.
