The Uttar Pradesh government shifted over a dozen IAS officers in the late hours of Thursday. While district magistrates (DMs) of six districts were replaced, additional chief secretaries and divisional commissioners were also shifted.
As per an official communiqué, DM of Moradabad Rakesh Kumar Singh was sent to Ghaziabad in the same capacity while Vice-Chairman of Prayagraj Development Authority Ankit Kumar Agarwal was made the new DM of Etah.
Special Secretary, Panchayati Raj, Balkrishna Tripathi was posted as DM of Amroha while District Magistrate of Lakhimpur Kheri Shailendra Kumar Singh will now handle this responsibility in Moradabad.
Additional Director, Integrated Child Development and Nutrition, Arvind Kumar Chaurasia was posted as District Magistrate of Lakhimpur Kheri while DM of Amroha, Umesh Mishra was made the new DM of Bijnore replacing Ramakant Pandey who comes to Lucknow as Special Secretary, Excise .
Similarly, DM of Ghaziabad Ajay Shankar Pandey was promoted and posted as Divisional Commissioner of Jhansi division while Secretary, Tourism and Culture, Ravi Kumar NG was posted as the new Commissioner of Gorakhpur Division replacing Jayant Narlikar, who has gone to his parent cadre after finishing his term of inter-state deputation in UP.
NG Ravi Kumar, who served as District Magistrate for about two-and-a-half years in Gorakhpur, has now again been posted as Commissioner in Gorakhpur while DM Etah, Vibha Chahal and DM Lakhimpur Kheri, Arvind Chaurasia were posted as Additional Director of ICDS.
Meanwhile, Additional Chief Secretary, Horticulture and Food Processing, Manoj Singh was sent to the department of Environment, Forest and Climate Change while Principal Secretary of Rural Development K Ravindra Nayak was given the responsibility of Social Welfare and Minority Welfare Departments. Principal Secretary Environment, Forest and Climate Change Sudhir Garg has been sent to the department of Dairy Development.
Additional Chief Secretary, Cooperative, MVS Rami Reddy was posted in Horticulture and Food Processing department, Principal Secretary, Social and Minorities Welfare while BL Meena was given the responsibility of Cooperative department. Mukesh Meshram has also been given the charge of DG Tourism and Divisional Commissioner, Jhansi. Subhash Chand Sharma was posted as Principal Secretary, Higher Education.
