Opposition political parties have criticised the ruling Samajwadi Party leaders for holding the opposition responsible for the deteriorating law and order situation in the state.
SP general secretary Ram Gopal Yadav had blamed opposition for conspiring to defame the government on the law and order front. He also gone to the extent of saying that it is a tough job to control the crime. Oposition parties alleged that crime by the policemen has increased while the state government has lost its authority to control the crime. BJP spokesperson Vijay Bahadur Pathak said here that blaming the opposition for the rising crime in the state is a lame excuse by the ruling party.
'' It is the total failure of the UP government to control crime and it has now crossed the limits,'' he said while alleging that the recent murder of a BSP leader in Azamgarh and arrest of the Kotwal in the killing proves the criminal-police nexus in this regime. BSP general secretary Swami Party Maurya too expressed that blaming the opposition proves that the government has failed to control the crimes.'' A government is too powerful to prevent any conspiracy but now SP itself was admitting its failure,'' he said. Similar views were also expressed by UP Congress spokesperson Amarnath Agarwal, who said that blaming the opposition parties itself is a proof of acceptance of guilt.
