Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath set the expiry date of the SP-BSP-RLD alliance, saying that bua-babua and partners would part ways after blaming each other for failing to transfer votes to their respective candidates on May 23.
“The so-called alliance will end on May 23 after Lok Sabha election results are announced. Bua (Mayawati) will call Babua (Akhilesh Yadav) a criminal and criticise him for failing to transfer his party’s votes while Babua will term her a corrupt leader. These parties joined hands due to Narendra Modi and will part ways due to Modi,” Yogi said while addressing poll rallies in Ambedkar Nagar and Basti on Tuesday.
Taking a jibe at Mayawati and Akhilesh, Yogi said that Shivpal Singh Yadav was very upset with this alliance.
“Shivpal said that he has no sister. If that is the case how did ‘Bua’ emerge? This relationship was formed to loot, to provoke riots, to encourage corruption and is a threat to the security of the nation,” Yogi said.
The Chief Minister also attacked opposition parties on instant triple talak, saying that Congress, Samajwadi Party and Bahujan Samaj Party were determined to oppose the law against triple talaq while the BJP wanted to enact it in order to restore the dignity of Muslim women.
“Our country got Independence many years ago. But Muslim women will get their real freedom when this evil practice ends. We will come up with strict rules so that no one can exploit and harass Muslim women,” he said.
Appreciating the Prime Minister’s development works across the country, Yogi said that if one compared the tenures of BJP and Congress, one would see that the BJP’s five-year regime was better than the 55-year rule of Congress.
Slamming oppositions parties, Yogi said that the previous governments of UP implemented their welfare schemes on the basis of caste, creed and religion but the present regime believed in ‘sabka saath sabka vikas’.
“We are not supplying power on any specific occasion or festival to a specific section of people. All are getting power supply round the clock and around the year,” he said.
Attacking the Samajwadi Party, Yogi said that SP leaders claimed that they followed Dr Ram Manohar Lohia’s ideology. “But the first family of Samajwadi Party accumulated assets in the name of Lohia. Throughout his life, Lohia opposed ‘pariwarvaad’ (dynasty) in politics but the SP has become a party of a family.”
Basti and Ambedkar Nagar will go to polls in the sixth phase on May 12.
