Opposition political parties have welcomed the decision of the Allahabad High Court to sack UP Public Service Commission (UPPSC) chairman Anil Yadav and demanded that action should be taken against the people guilty for this illegal appointment.
The political parties have also demanded for review of all the results declared by UPPSC during the tenure of Anil Yadav, who they alleged to have favoured a particular caste in the appointment leading to resentment among the youths of other castes and communities. State Congress vice-president and chairman of the media cell, Satyadeo Tripathi said that the HC decision was welcome as at last the tainted chairman was removed. “ Anil Yadav was involved in turning the Commission into a caste based institution which is again the Constitution,” he said in a statement here while demanding that action should be taken against the guilty people involved in the appointment of a criminal background Anil Yadav.
State BJP spokesperson Vijay Bahadur Pathak, questioned,” When the chairman himself was illegal and his appointment was against the Constitutional norms as said by the court then how his decisions including announcement of the results of different government jobs could be legal.” It has now been proved that the State government had violated all norms to appoint Anil Yadav for their vested interest, he said that after the HC ruling the Samajwadi Party government has lost its moral ground to rule the state. Talking to media persons here, Pathak said now all the results announced by the UPPSC during the Anil Yadav tenure should be checked as irregularities had marred different examinations during the past 2 years.
“ The HC judgement vindicates the long agitation by the students in Allahabad against Anil Yadav and it puts a question mark on the working style of the Samajwadi party government,” he further said. Rashtriya lok Dal(RlD), UP unit, spokesperson Anil Dubey has also criticised the Akhilesh Yadav goverment for the illegal appointment of UPPSC chairman.” The HC decision is a historic one and gives the real picture of the State government of how they are violating the Constitutional norms,” he said.
