Both the Congress and the BJP attacked the UP government for giving key posts of important recruitment agencies of the State to ineligible persons to woo a particular caste.
They claimed that the government refused to listen to their protests over the issue, but now when the Court has cracled the whip the state government stand stood exposed.
“The Court has either removed or stayed the functioning of chairman, members, secretary of important bodies like UP Public Service Commission, Higher Education Service Board, Service Commission for Secondary Education etc. Now the fate of the Chairman of UPPSC, Anil Yadav is hanging by the thread.
The latest in this sequence is removal of SP Singh from departments headed by Azam Khan. All these pointed towards the UP government’s intent on providing an level playing field for the youths to get selected on merit,” asserted UP Congress spokesman, Amarnath Agarwal.
Meanwhile, a BJP spokesperson Anita Agarwal also flayed the government appointed controversial officials as heads of recruitment bodies to facilitate appointment of those who greased their palms or belonged to a particular caste.
“All recruitments made so far under SP regime comes under cloud. Several thousand cases of appointments have been pending for disposal in both the benches of High Court as well as in Apex Court,” she charged.
