Opp conspiring to defame SP Govt: CM

Published on:

Calling it a problem of plenty, Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav said that opposition parties were spreading canard against the Samajwadi Party Government on the law and order issue only because the party enjoyed majority and  the Govenment could not be toppled.
“There is a political conspiracy to defame the Government. We have the majority and the Samajwadi Party is paying the price for it. I call upon all the Samajwadi Party activists and socialists to unite and
give a befitting reply to the opposition parties,” he said while addressing a function after inaugurating Asia’s largest park named after Socialist leader Janeshwar Mishra here on Tuesday.
Without naming anyone, he said the party which came to power at the Centre was the main conspirator against the SP Government.
Elaborating the achievements, Yadav said that his Government had created several records which no other state could match. “Ours is the only Government in the country that launched metro projects in three cities — lucknow, Noida and Ghaziabad. Besides, our scheme of free distribution of laptops, unemployment allowances, 102 and 108 ambulance services and new expressway between Agra and lucknow are landmark projects which have earned laurels in the country. Still, the opposition is only criticising the Government,” he said.
“The SP Government is working without any bias and is making all out efforts for the uplift of all the communities,” he said while adding that the country needed a Government lead by secular and socialists
ideologies as advocated by the Samajwadi Party.
Asking the youths to take a vow to check conspiracy against the SP Government, the Chief Minister said: “We have promoted Hindi, Urdu and Sanskrit equally while the rights of the students, poor and farmers
have been protected.”
Yadav said that the new park would be one of the best in the country. “Presently, just one-third of the park is under use and after its completion lucknow will be on the international tourism map,” he said.
Meanwhile, party’s national president Mulayam Singh Yadav rued the loss of his party in the lok Sabha elections and held the weak party organisation responsible for the defeat.
‘’Janeshwar Mishra wanted that Samajwadi Party leaders should unfurl the Tricolour from the ramparts of Red Fort in Delhi. But we failed to fulfill his dream,” he said and added: “Weak party organisation should
be blamed for this.”
SP had won five seats in the lok Sabha elections with Mulayam winning two seats from Mainpuri and Azamgarh. He said that it was unfortunate that the forces against whom the party fought for the past two decades succeeded in grabbing power.
