Opposition parties have termed the government’s achievements as illustrated in Governor Ram Naik’s address to the joint session of legislature, as ‘a bundle of lies’ as it dis not speak on the plight of farmers, corruption in appointments, law and order and truant power supply.

leaders of all Opposition parties said that the Governor was made to read out false achievements of the government, which in reality did not exist.,

leader of Opposition and senior BSP leader, Swamy Prasad Maurya said that his party rejects the so-called achievements of the government in different sectors. This is a false claim. “The reality is, people are suffering in this regime and they want to get rid of this corrupt government at the earliest. This government will have to do a lot of explaining as the BSP will question every decision made by the government.”

BJP leader Suresh Khanna called the address ‘a mere formality’. “The Governor’s address does not talk about deteriorating law and order situation and the grim Bundelkhand situation where farmers are suffering. The achievements of the government are nothing but a bundle of lies,” Khanna, who is leader of BJP legislature party, said in a statement issued on Friday.

He also criticised BSP, Congress and RlD for creating a din in the House. “The President of India had expected that Governor’s address should be listened to with attention. The BJP followed the directives of the President,” he said.

RlD state chief Munna Singh Chauhan in his statement said that UP government has failed to fulfill the promises. “The farmers are suffering in this regime though SP leaders claim themselves to be friends of farmers. The government has failed to clear cane dues,” he said.
