More trouble has been stored in for producer and director of controversial film “Goliyon ki Raasleela: Ram leela” after the Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM), lucknow  sought report from lucknow police regarding registration of case against them.

The court will take up the matter now on December 8 for further hearing. The matter was taken up by the court on application filed by local social activist Nutan Thakur who sought registration of FIR.

In her application Thakur claimed that Kishore lulla, producer of the film “Goliyon ki Raasleela: Ram leela”, along with Sanjay leela Bhansali, Director  and leela Samson, Censor Board Chairperson, gave the above title to the film despite of specific order of the Allahabad High Court in a previous case filed by her where the Court had said that religious sensitivity needs to be addressed.

She claimed that the Censor Board under Ms Samson passed this film despite knowledge of orders of Allahabad High Court in Vinod Shanker Misra case where Court had regarded use of word “Raasleela” as hurting the sentiments of Hindus, a fact which was proved when the High Court banned this film in UP, saying that its title hurt the Hindu sentiments. Based on these facts, Thakur had presented an FIR before the cops at Gomatinagar Police station and approached the Court when the police refused to register the FIR. The court now issued notice to station officer of Gomati Nagar in this regard and will take up the case on December 8.

Meanwhile Nutan Thakur’s husband and social activist Amitabh Thakur, who is also an IPS officer sought compensation for three innocent Nepalese youths who were arrested in Aarushi and Hemraj murder case but were found innocent besides action has been also demanded against the officers who framed fabricated charges on these youths. In his petition filed before Chairman, National Human Rights Commission praying to seek adequate compensation for the unwarranted arrest of three Nepalese and for fixing of criminal and administrative responsibility of CBI officers responsible for improper arrests, Amitabh Thakur claimed he found the CBI Court’s order in Aarushi case as being historic and great.

He said that CBI had made these arrests within days of taking the investigation, who had to be later granted bail due to lack of evidence. The Aarushi order says-“After completing the investigation Mr Kaul reached to the conclusion that these twin murders were committed by the accused persons and not by Krishna, Rajkumar and Vijay Mandal or any other outsider. However, on interventions of super sleuths of CBI closure report was laid by Kaul in the court” which proves his point beyond doubt. Amitabh claimed to have made the above demand on basis of Supreme Court orders in Joginder Singh vs State of UP and Neelbati Behera vs State of Orissa. Previously Nutan had raised this matter before Allahabad High Court, lucknow Bench which had directed her to go before the Allahabad Bench.
