On-the-spot redressal of labourer’s grievance by CM Yogi

It was ‘on-the-spot’ redressal of a grievance of a labourer when the complainant met Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath at Janata Darshan on Saturday and shared his ordeal and sought his intervention.

On the directive of the chief minister, an FIR was lodged immediately against three persons under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code.

An official communique released on Saturday confirmed that one Sunder Lal from village Chaupariya of Naimisharanya tehsil in Sitapur was one of 100 odd persons who appeared before the chief minister at his Janata Darshan, asking for redressal of their respective problems.

The UP government ordered a probe into the entire episode after the complainant gave his application to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The chief minister took no time and immediately asked the Superintendent of Police of Sitapur to investigate the case and take action against the three accused of planning the murder of a man.

Sunder Lal lodged a complaint with Yogi Adityanath in which he mentioned that his brother was murdered by three people on July 4. “We took the matter to the police but the police did not write any report on the matter” the complainant wrote in the letter.

He further said that his family was continuously receiving life threats from the accused to withdraw the complaints.

Maintenance of law and order and justice to the people is the top priority of the Yogi government, the spokesman said, adding that as many as 100 grievances were personally redressed by the chief minister on Saturday.

During the Janata Darshan, the chief minister personally listens to the grievances of people from different parts of the state. All Covid safety protocols such as social distancing and wearing face masks were followed.
