Nutan and Amitabh Thakur once again take a dig on Gayatri Prajapati

Published on:

Social activist Nutan Thakur and her IPS husband Amitabh Thakur once again took on tainted UP minister Gayatri Prajapati, alleging that the latter struck a deal with one of the complainants to save himself from probe into illegal mining by the lokayukta.

Amitabh Thakur also challenged that if Prajapati thought that he was innocent then why did he not demand a probe by Central Bureau of Investigation into the rape charges.

Nutan, who had complained against Prajapati before the lokayukta about corruption through illegal mining, alleged that a formal deal was struck between him and Pratapgarh resident Om Shankar Dwivedi, who complained against the minister.

She, along with Amethi resident Krishna Kumar Singh, claimed to have an affidavit written on a Rs 50 stamp paper (No AZ 9907400) having the name and signature of Prajapati as its deponent. The affidavit says that Gayatri Prajapati shall never register a defamation case against Dwivedi.

The affidavit was sworn on December 16, 2014 at Sadar Tehsil, lucknow and has ex-SP MlC Dayaram Prajapati and Mithilesh Yadav (resident of C-10, Dilkusha, lucknow) as the witnesses. Nutan said that Dwivedi made his complaint to lokayukta on December 13, 2014 and the affidavit in question was sworn three days after the complaint after which Dwivedi took back his complaint. She said that she would soon be presenting a copy of the affidavit before the lokayukta seeking enquiry into this.

Meanwhile her husband Amitabh Thakur said that if Prajapati was innocent in the rape case, he should have sought a CBI enquiry for the truth to emerge.

In his letter to CM Akhilesh Yadav, Amitabh said that a rape case has also been registered against him and wife Dr Nutan Thakur at Gomtinagar police station. They have been seeking a CBI enquiry into this case for the last 18 months but neither the local police is investigating the matter nor has it been referred to the CBI. Amitabh has filed a petition in High Court demanding a CBI enquiry.

Thakur said that the Chief Minister shall refer both his and Gayatri Prajapati’s case to the CBI so that the entire truth emerged.

It may be mentioned that on directions of the Apex Court, a rape case was registered against Prajapati at Gautampalli police station of lucknow and the matter is under investigation.
