Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday appealed to the people to take precautionary doses and directed the officials that no one should be left out from the vaccination drive.

On the occasion of the celebration of 75th year of Indian Independence, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had announced a free precaution dose of Covid vaccine to all and the drive will end on September 30.

Reviewing the vaccination drive, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath directed the officials to ensure that no one was left out from taking the precautionary dose of the vaccine.

In line with this target, by September 6, more than 30 million adults above 18 years of age in Uttar Pradesh have received a precaution dose of the vaccine.

Yogi Adityanath has appealed to the people again to take this special campaign, which will run till September 30, to every person of the state. He said that the persons eligible for the vaccine should get the precaution dose on time and should be part of the state government's campaign against novel coronavirus.

It is worth mentioning that a campaign has been launched from July 15 to apply precaution dose of the vaccines to 12 crore adults in the state.

Enthusiasm among the people for getting a precaution dose is the same as before. According to a spokesman, if the highest vaccination dose figures are taken into consideration, Deoria district is at the forefront in this matter. In Deoria till September 6, 35.35 per cent people have got the precaution dose. At the same time, districts like Mahoba (32.98 per cent), Rae Bareli (32.60 per cent), Muzaffarnagar (32 per cent) and Lakhimpur Kheri (30.79 per cent) are in the top five districts in terms of taking precautionary doses.
