No link of beef controversy with bihar polls: Mishra

Senior BJP leaders and Union Minister MSME Kalraj Mishra said that beef controversy will not have its impact in Bihar elections where political leaders were raising this issue to divert attention from the misrule of Nitish Government.

“There is practically no impact of Dadri incident in Bihar. The RJD leader lalu Prasad Yadav has raised beef controversy just to divert attention of people from the mis-rule of Nitish Government. Prime Minister Modi has given a befitting reply to the parties who tried to raise this issue,” Mishra told The Pioneer here recently.

Mishra who had campaigned in Bihar last week and had visited over 15 villages in last three days said that what had happened in Dadri was unfortunate but some political parties particularly RJD tried to rake it up in Bihar.

“What happened when lalu ji tried to link beef with HindusIJ It is for everyone to see,” he said. “People have rejected lalu’s beef gimmick. He himself finds entangled in that controversy. The people of Bihar want development. They see Modi as the man who is destined to change the face of Bihar. The crowd at Modi’s rallies is refection of things to come in Bihar,” he said.

Mishra had gone for canvassing in two districts of Begusarai and Sasaram. Besides holding meetings at district levels he also held meetings at villages and blocks. He had interaction with villagers and spoke to them about their problems.

“The villagers are now very smart. They do not open up that quickly. But the tone and tenor suggest that Bihar will go NDA way this time. There is a under current in favour of Narendra Modi. People will to see a better relationship between centre and state and therefore would vote for BJP,” he said.

“Prime Minister had announced a special 1.65lakh crore development package for Bihar. People are talking about it. They know that if BJP comes to power there is every possibility that Bihar would get a special status,” he said.

Admitting that Bihar election will have direct impact on Uttar Pradesh that will go to polls on 2017 he said that elections generally have its impact on the neighbouring state. There is no doubt that UP will be under the penumbra on Bihar poll results but exact scenario will be clear once UP’s elections are announced, he said.

About UP he said law and order situation in UP is very bad. It is deteriorating with every passing day because the leaders of the ruling party are calling the shot while the policemen prefer to look other way.

“The change in UP is imminent. People are fed up with this mis-rule and want a change. BJP is the best party to replace it,” he said.
