No enemy has the courage to raise an eye on India: Yogi

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, no enemy had the courage to raise an eye on India and if they did so, the country had enough potential to return the hostility and this was the power of a Transforming India.

“Earlier, whenever enemy countries encroached on Indian territory, nobody raised a voice. They always ignored it silently for maintaining friendly relations with these neighbouring countries," the chief minister said after inaugurating and laying the foundation stones of 232 development projects worth Rs 500 crores in Shahjahanpur on Tuesday.

He also unveiled the statue of Seth Bishan Chandra in Shahjahanpur.

Attacking the previous government on the prevalent law and order situation, the chief minister said that earlier there used to be riots every third day, but now there was peace everywhere. He also charged the previous Samajwadi Party regime of withdrawing cases against terrorists, who attacked the Ram Janmabhoomi complex in Ayodhya.

“Today, Uttar Pradesh is in the leading position in better law and order. Along with being riot-free, the state is at number one place in the implementation of every Central government scheme. The previous Samajwadi Party government was afraid of going to Ayodhya and mega events were held only in Saifai. But now, Deepotsav is being held in Ayodhya which clearly shows how Uttar Pradesh has changed in these four years and a half,” he said.

Speaking about farmers, Yogi said that from 2017 onwards, farmers' crops were being purchased directly without any middlemen and over Rs 1.47 lakh crore had been paid to cane farmers against the price of their produce.

“This marketing season, more paddy purchasing centres will be set up across the state. If there will be any complaint in the procurement, the responsibility will be fixed,” he said.
