New industrial policy to be implemented in state

The Yogi Government has decided to throw open its proposed Industrial Policy to public scrutiny and invite suggestions from people about the policy which it wants to implement in the state by the end of June. The new Industrial Policy will be launched as Yogi Government completes 100 days in office.

The decision to invite people’s suggestion was taken at a review meeting of Industrial Policy chaired by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The CM cleared the Policy draft with amendments and said that it should be uploaded on the Department of Industries website for people’s suggestions.

“Incorporate suggestions of industrialists, retailers and common man so that the policy becomes people-friendly. Our aim is to invite investments in state and people’s suggestions will help us in making our policy investment friendly,” Yogi said and added that the policy should be such that investor could get all redressals at one point only.

The CM said that the new policy should focus on inviting investments in Bundelkhand, Purvanchal and other backward areas of UP.

"Focus should be given to micro, small and medium industries so that youths could get employment. The state has a vast potential to tap investments. What we require is to identify those areas,” Yogi said.
