Anupriya Patel, Union minister of state for health and family welfare said here that the NDA would form the next government in UP.  The Apna Dal MP from Mirzapur arrived here on Saturday said the people of the state are fed up with the parties like the Samajwadi party and the Bahujan Samaj party and there is now a new political space in UP.

On her maiden visit to lucknow after her induction in Union council of ministers she was accorded rousing welcome at the Amausi airport.  Her motorcade comprising of over 300 vehicles created a long traffic jam in cantonment area.  The minister later arrived in a state guest house.

The police refused the minister to move in the city along with huge fleet of cars.  Anupriya Patel in protest staged dharna   for around 20 minutes. later she garlanded the statue of Sardar Patel and Dr BR Ambedkar in Hazratganj.

She said that this is the space which the NDA with its allies is capable of filling and fitting in. like in 2014 lok Sabha elections, Amit Shah will probably bring together a whole lot of segments and parties together to stitch a winning combination in UP. We (Apna Dal) are already with them. Many others will join. I think it is a very workable strategy to keep all caste equations in mind and this can make the NDA acceptable to all.

Involved in a bitter feud with other faction of the party led by her mother Krishna Patel, she was expelled from the party soon after here induction in the Union council of minister on July last. Krishna Patel accusing the BJP of not following the spirit of alliance had called off its alliance with the BJP that was forged ahead of the 2014 lok Sabha elections.

Krishna Patel has already announced to hold ‘Kranti Diwas Maharally’ in Varanasi on August 23 to launch a campaign against the BJP. The campaign ‘BJP Hatao, Aarakashan Bachao’ would primarily focus on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s lok Sabha constituency.

The spokesman of the Krishna Patel faction of Apna Dal RB Singh said the grand rally in Varanasi will teach a lesson to those who have cheated the party and those who have not followed the spirit of alliance. He said that Apna Dal has already expelled Anupriya Patel from the party.
