National bravery award winner Nazia Khan, who was designated Special Police Officer (SPO) of Agra by DGP, OP Singh, was injured in a clash over a land dispute in Tajganj area of Agra on Friday.
Police said that the clash took place when Nazia and her family members went to speak to the opposite party to sort out a dispute over a piece of land at to Tajganj. While the two parties came to a head, timely police intervention saved the day Nazia and her family. However, Nazia and her brother suffered injuries and had to be medically examined.
Ara Police officials said that a case was registered and a probe was initiated. They said that security has been provided to Nazia and her family. Nazia shot into limelight after she saved a boy from kidnappers and started a movement against ‘satta’ mafia which got her the President’s Bravery Award on Republic Day.
