Terming Rahul Gandhi as a headmaster who does not know his subject, Union Minister of State for Minority Welfare and BJP vice-president, Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said that the Congress leader is speaking on almost all issues without having a proper grip over the subject.
“It is very unfortunate the Rahul has now shifted his attention towards the death of a dalit research scholar in Hyderabad. His act is an attempt to divide the society on caste lines and gain political mileage out of whole issue,” Naqvi told reporters in Rampur on Wednesday.
“Why is Rahul doing it IJ,” he said by way of quetioning and replied, “He is doing so to get political mileage. What to speak about a party that is using the death of a research scholar to gain political points.”
Naqvi ruled out resignation by any minister over this issue. “No one will resign. Why should they, just because some political parties are talking about it IJ” he said. “The suicide note of the research scholar does not mention harassment from any quarter but no one is talking about it,” he said.
Naqvi pointed out that what Rahul Gandhi is doing was a clear example of intolerance. ‘’Rahul has become the symbol of intolerance and has become a headmaster without doing his home work and his party is facing the music,’’ he said.
The Union minister criticised the politicians and outfits for condemning the Centre for not according minority status to Aligarh Muslim University (AMU). ‘’There are at least 12,000 minority educational institutes in the country, of which 2600 are in UP alone and are receiving all facilities,’’ he explained. He reminded that the AMU matter was sub-judice and people should wait for the judgement before airing their opinion.
Claiming that the BJP will contest the Assembly polls in UP and Uttarakhand alone, Naqvi said that these elections could be held in both the states at the same time. “The Congress is out of the race in the political battle in UP, and a triangular contest would be witnessed among BJP, BSP and SP in UP,” he said.
When asked about the attack in a Pakistan university, Naqvi said that terrorism would be wiped out from the world as a war has started against those who are out to kill people in the name of religion.
“The world has launched a massive movement against terror outfits like ISIS and laskar-e-Toiba. We can say that terrorism is on the death bed now. Terror outfits do not have any ideology. Even Muslims have now rejected these organisations and have started opposing them,” asserted Naqvi.
