Naik sent special report to president

Published on:

Governor Ram Naik has sent a special report to the President on the recent incidents in Mathura, Kairana (Shamli) and Dadri (Noida). In June, Naik had directed Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav to submit reports on these incidents which were received by the Raj Bahwan on June 29.

After scrutiny, the Governor forwarded the reports to the President on July 9. A Raj Bhawan release on Sunday said that the Chief Minister in his report to the Governor had maintained that the state government is implementing his advise for clearing encroachments on government and private land.

The report on encroachments on government land was compiled by Chief Secretary, who had earlier sought reports from Divisional Commissioners. The Commissioners were asked to furnish details of number of encroachments on government land, the duration of illegal occupation and the market value of the land. They were also asked to come up with a line of action for clearing the encroachments.
