Apprehending prevalence of Bihar-like anomalies in UP’s examination system, Governor Ram Naik has sought help from the public to bring the black sheep to light.
Speaking to media persons in Agra on Friday, the Governor said that he was concerned about the deterioration in the examination system. Naik was in Agra to inaugurate a two-day international Vaish Maha Sammelan.
“What happened in Bihar was shocking. We should ensure that this does not happen in Uttar Pradesh. I seek support from the public to expose the black sheep involved in scams linked to the vital system. If they have information, they should inform me so that corrective measures could be taken,” Naik said. Recently, eyebrows were raised over the conduct of UP Polytechnic examination and the inclusion of some names in the merit list where toppers were not able to spell out ‘eight’. Toppers wrote `aite’, ‘ate’, and ‘aiyt’ as the spelling for eight.
The Governor also said that he was examining the report given by Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav over the recent law and order breakdowns including Mathura violence, Kairana exodus and other crimes in lucknow.
“The CM has submitted reports on all issues of law and order in the state before embarking on his foreign visit. I am examining them and will decide on the future course of action after the CM returns to the state,” Naik said.
