Naidu blames UP govt over kariana exodus row

Keeping the political pot of Kairana boiling, Union minister for Parliamentary Affairs and Urban Development Venkiah Naidu held the UP government responsible for the exodus of people from Kairana.

"The law and order issue is always with the state government and the present SP government cannot shy away from its responsibility," he said in Muzaffarnagar on Sunday where he had gone to attend the two years celebration of the NDA government at the Centre.

He said that since law and order is a state subject. Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav will now have to do the talking as why people left Kairana and when they complained to the police, why did the local adminsitration fail to provide security to these people.

Naidu, however, said that rge BJP will not politicize the issue and will not use it as a weapon in forthcoming elections.

“We will contest the 2017 Assembly elections in UP over the issue of development. I appeal to the people to support the party so that the pace of developmental in UP could be accelerated with the BJP government both at the Centre and in UP,” the Union minister said.

When asked about the Chief Ministerial candidate of the BJP in next polls, Naidu said that the party brass will take an appropriate decision at the right time. “We have many faces, who have the capability to give clean administration. A right decision will be taken at the right time,” he said.

Alleging that both the SP and the BSP are the partners of Congress, Naidu said that the people will teach these parties a lesson in the coming Assembly polls.

“If the Congress looted the nation during two terms of the UPA, the SP and BSP were its partner in crime. Their crime cannot be condoned,” he said.

Naidu along with two other union ministers-- MoS Finance Jayant Sinha and Panchayati Raj minister Nihal Chand and local MP Sanjeev Balliyan were in Muzaffarnagar in connection with the second anniversary of the NDA government.

later in the day, they attended a Kisan Sammelan in Sisauli which was presided over by Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) president Naresh Tikait.
