The alleged mastermind in the Nabha jailbreak case Parminder aka Paida reportedly revealed the `Master Plan”, disclosing that it took an army of 14 persons to successfully got the 6 prisoners including Khalistani liberation Force (KlF) Chief Harminder Singh Mintoo released from the prison. Paida claimed to have paid the price for going to his home town in Uttrakhand through Shamli and later to slip to Nepal after some days.
It may be mentioned that while Mintoo was arrested by Delhi police on Monday, all out hunt was still on for five fugitives who reportedly took shelter in
Karnal and Panipat. Reports said that during interrogation with the sleuths of the Shamli police and the Anti-Terrorists Squad (ATS), Paida revealed that all together 14 more persons were involved in the entire plan to get Mintoo and five other criminals released from Nabha jail.
He said that the entire planning was hatched in Mudaki area of Ferojpur. He said that as per the plan, four of the above went to jail in police uniform and one as accused in their custody. Five other went inside the jail as family members to meet their relatives lodged inside the prison. Four others waited on four different vehicles outside the jail. Paida said that at the main gate, they held the jail guards and other security person in their captive and later barged inside after opening indiscriminate fire.
After executing the plan, they all went on different direction and had planned to reach to Nepal through separate routes. Paida said that he not changed the number plate, and to reach his native village in Shahastra Dhara near IT Park at Dehradun, he took Shamli route after crossing Panipat. He claimed that as the some local policemen identified him, they laid a trap and arrested him along with arms and ammunitions used in the crime. He said that all the members involved in the plan remained in touch through `Whattsapp” application.
Paida revealed the names of some other members involved in Sunday’s incident as Prema, a resident of Jalandhar, Hairy, Gopi, residents of Batala, Baba, Mani, Bhikkhar, residents of Mudaki in Ferojpur, Channa, a resident of Hoshiyarpur, Sukkha, Gopi Gauda, one more as Baba and two others whom he not recognised but they hails from Chandigarh.
Reports said that after interrogation all through Sunday night, the Shamli police finally produced him in the local court on Monday from where he was sent to jail on judicial custody for 14 days. Now police will take his custody remand for further interrogation besides Parminder could also be taken to Punjab.
It may be mentioned that during interrogation, Paida said that he was also
involved in narcotic smuggling in sates including Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Punjab. He was accused of killing Punjab police sub-inspector Gurudev and was on the run before he was arrested on Sunday evening.
Meanwhile Uttar Pradesh police would be recommending names of the two policemen, for their daring act in arresting the hardcore criminal Parminder, who was the mastermind in Sunday’s Nabha jail attack, for the President’s gallantry awards. Inspector General of Police (IG- Meerut zone) Ajay Anand told reporters in Meerut on Monday that they will recommend the names of two policemen, constable Shahzad and Deepanshu Tyagi, who arrested Parminder, for President’s gallantry. Besides, DGP also announced a cash reward of Rs 50,000 each to both the constables.
