Muslim leaders irked over comments of Principal Secretary, Home

Principal Secretary (Home) Anil Gupta’s controversial statement on Muzaffarnagar relief camps on Friday has fueled the resentment of Muslim fraternity. The community leaders were already angry over remark made by Samjawadi Party (SP) Chief Mulayam Singh Yadav a couple of days back.

Terming the comment as ‘Highly Irresponsible’, General Secretary, All India Ulama and Mashaikh Board (AIUMB), Syed Babar Ashraf said the bureaucracy is there to help the people of state. But such irresponsible statement shows the sensitivity of bureaucrats towards their works.

"Such kind of officials not only defames the government but also bring shame to humanity. In my opinion, such irresponsible and inhumane official should be removed from the post immediately," he added.

Notably, Principal Secretary (Home), Anil Gupta commented that nobody dies of cold if this would be the reason then nobody would have been alive in Siberia till now.

Spokesperson, All India Shia Personal law Board (AISPlB) Maulana Yasoob Abbas said this statement made by the government official was too childish and

hurting the sentiments of those who are compelled to live in camps under cold waves.

"Even the Chief Minister accepted the fact the children died due to cold then how come such irresponsible statements are coming from the bureaucracy," he added.

He demanded that the Chief Minister should look into the matter as the official had disappointed the people living in pain in the relief camps. Strict action should be taken against the official.
