Exhorting party workers to remain united and fight against the forces that are out to divide the country on the caste and religious lines Samajwadi Party national president Mulayam Singh Yadav said that Congress and BSP have betrayed the faith of poor and the farmers while the BJP has tried to spread communal venom.
“In this scenario only Samajwadi Party has emerged as the only choice of the people. The opposition parties have spread a canard against the Government. Stay away from this canard and ensure victory of party candidates in all the Parliamentary constituencies,” Mulayam Singh said here on Wednesday.
He was speaking in a function organised on the occasion of 4th Death anniversary of Janeshwar Mishra. “Government should implement such policies that would benefit 75 per cent of the population. Thus, the policies should be the poor and farmer oriented. That Government prospers which works for the poor and farmers,” he said as if giving suggestion to Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav to make policies more poor-oriented.
Akhilesh Yadav in his speech said that his Government is doing good work but media, in tandem with some opposition parties, is spreading rumors against the Government. “This is because other political parties cannot digest achievements of Samajwadi Party Government. The time has come show our might at the national level. We can do this only if we sweep the lok Sabha elections,” Chief Minister said.
Elaborating on the success of his Government he said that they have re-introduced unemployment allowance, gave scholarship of girl students, constructed roads in 1400 lohia grams and steps are being taken to set up new power houses.“We have emerged as real force and will prove our might in next lok Sabha elections,” he said.
