Reacting to the conference of Brahmins organised by the Samajwadi Party, the state BJP sought to know the reason why the SP supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav skipped it despite being the chief guest on the occasion. It also termed the entire exercise as the merely a propoganda tool as the SP was only indulged in appeasement of Muslims.
The state BJP president Dr lakshmikant Bajpai said on Sunday that Mulayam Singh Yadav used to attend the functions of Muslims despite the fact they were of the trivial stature, but why he preferred to remain away from Brahmin conference as he was publicised as the chief guest of the event which infact proved a non event.
Bajpai also attacked the BSP for its so called affection for Brahmins and said that over the years it has inflicted insult upon the community. Citing the amny incidents where Brahmins were subjected to the victimisation during the SP and the BSP regime, Bajpai asked both parties to come out with their version to restore the pride of the community in these incidents.
