MSY, Akhilesh misleading public: UPCC media committee

Published on:

After state president Raj Babbar and All India Congress Committee (AICC) General Secretary, Gulam Nabi Azad ruling out any alliance with Samajwadi Party and that the Party is ready to go alone in the coming Assembly elections, Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee (UPCC) media committee hit at both Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav and chief minister Akhilesh Yadav, accusing them of trying to mislead the public over `coalition’.

``Samajwadi Party had totally failed to control the law and order in the State as well as no major development took place except for lucknow-Agra Expressway, which also came in a record time just to facilitate thousands of crores of profit to Yadav’s family members and their close aides in the name of acquiring land around Etawah, and adjoining districts’’ alleged Satyadev Tripathi, chairman of UPCC media cell. Attacking the SP government, Tripathi said that both Mulayam and Akhilesh were projecting that they were having dispute on several front including the issue of giving tickets to mafias but he said that it was an entire `drama’.

``The on-going fight between the members of Yadav family is just a well planned drama to divert the people’s attention from failure of Akhilesh Yadav to give a clean and good government to the public”, said Tripathi while adding that the SP is going to be number four party after the coming Assembly elections in the state. ``SP knew it very well that Congress is going to form the next government under Sheila Dikshit hence to make a last attempt to help  the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) to come in fight in the coming elections, Akhilesh Yadav and Mulayam were highlighting that they were going to have alliance with Congress”, alleged Tripathi while clarifying that the senior Party leaders had already made it clear that there are no such talks of `alliance’ with anyone, and the Party will go and contest all the Assembly elections on their own.

``Akhilesh Yadav is spreading rumour of alliance just to confuse the Muslim voters”, said Tripathi while accusing Mulayam Singh Yadav for always working on the diktat of BJP just to damage Congress and secular votes and recent elections in Bihar as well as polls in Gujrat are prime example of it. Tripathi further claimed that as the Party had already taken lead in campaign for the coming Assembly elections in comparision to other political parties so Mulayam  and Akhilesh  were creating confusion amongst the minds of the voters as well as in the Party cadre.

``By talking of coalition with Congress, Mulayam and Akhilesh were just confusing the voters particularly Muslims to stop them from coming to us”, asserted the leader adding that they also succeeded up to some extent as now voters were confused whether Congress will go alone or together.
