Modi's silence questioned by Samajwadi party

The Samajwadi party has questioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s silence over statements of RSS and VHP leaders asking Hindu women to bear 5 to 10 children so as to protect Hindu rashtra. “The VHP and RSS leaders are vocal in asking Hindu women to bear 10 children. This is against the thinking of Prime Minister who speaks about Sabka Saath Sabka vikas.

The Prime Minister should clarify whether he ascribes to such statements,’ SP spokesman Rajendra Chaudhry told reporters here on Monday. He said PM’s silence has created a confusion. If he really wants development of all sections of the society he should ask these leaders to keep quite. And if he cannot do so, it is clear that what RSS, VHP and Bajrang Dal activists are saying in public speeches is the actual line of thinking of BJP,” he said. BJP MP from Unnao Shakshi Maharj had stirred a controversy when he asked Hindu women to bear 4 kids.

He even asked them to give one kid to Sant Samaj for propagation of Hindutava. Then a BJP leader in Burdwan asked Hindus to arodpy 5-kid norm and now VHP leaders and a Sant said the Hindu women should bear 10 children.“Such statements are real threat to the unity and integrity of the country. The BJP leaders should take action against such people,” Chaudhry demanded.
