Rashtriya Janata Dal national president lalu Prasad Yadav, who is likely to have an alliance with Congress in the coming parliamentary elections, on Sunday said that Narendra Modi and Arvind Kejriwal were no match to Rahul Gandhi as the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Aam Aadmi Party would see the might of the Congress in the coming polls.
"What is Narendra ModiIJ He is just creation of the media. The same is true with Arvind Kejriwal. Rahul Gandhi is a mass leader," Yadav told reporters on Sunday, and added "It is you people who write about only Modi and Kejriwal and have made them hero."
Recently, Congress president Sonia Gandhi had also accused the media of highlighting the negative aspects of her party and not the positive ones.
lalu visited relief camps in Muzaffarnagar and met the families of riot victims. His visit was coordinated by Rajya Sabha member Mohammed Adeeb, who became member of the Upper House with the support of the Samajwadi Party and the Congress. lalu's visit came a week after Rahul Gandhi made a surprise visit to the relief camps and met the riot victims taking shelter there.Yadav was bitter on Arvind Kejriwal and said that in a month's time people would know that they had made a mistake.
"He is no Raja Harishchandra who always speaks the truth. People living in slums gave vote to the AAP in good faith. They do not know the repercussion. They will realise their folly very soon," he said.lalu visited several camps and met riot victims - both Hindus and Muslims.
"When I was in jail, I came to know about the deaths of children due to cold and then I decided to visit the camps," he said.
The RJD leader was, however, a bit soft on Akhilesh Yadav Government. His barbs were not directed towards the SP Government for its failure to provide relief to riot victims, but he said: "The Government should have done more. These people need help and the Uttar Pradesh Government should provide all help to them."
When asked about the Samajwadi Party going ahead with the Saifai Mahotsav when children were dying in relief camps, lalu said the Government should show more concern towards the miseries of the people.
