In yet another sensational incident reported from Nawabganj area of Bareilly, two sisters received critical burn injuries after miscreants threw acid over them when they were in deep sleep late on Monday night.
Only on last August 10 night, in another sensational incident reported from the same locality of Bareilly, two sisters suffered critical burn injuries after efforts were made to burn both alive. Some unidentified persons sprinkled petrol and set them on fire while they were sleeping inside their house at Nawabganj area of the district. Both the victims were shifted to hospital with more than 70 percent burn injuries and they both succumbed. The cops also arrested three persons and claimed that one sided affair led to incident but now fresh case raised question over the police theory as almost similar modus operandi was adopted by the miscreants in the Monday night incident also.
According to fresh reports from Bareilly, Mohamed Navi, a resident of Tanda Sadab area of Nawabganj, was living with his family for last several years. On Monday night, when he and other family members went to sleep inside a room, his two daughters, aged 14-year-old and 16-year-old, slept in the open verandah. Around midnight, three miscreants reportedly jumped inside the house and threw acid over both the girls in which they received more then 50 per cent burns. The girls raised an alarm after which all the accused jumped back and escaped. The family members rushed the victims to district hospital and informed the incident to local police. The cops said to have registered a case against one Bhura, a resident of the same area and 4 other unknown miscreants. No one was arrested so far in the matter.
It be mentioned that earlier on August 10 night, some unknown miscreants scaled the boundary wall to enter the House of Fiza (13) and Gulshan (19) years, in Devraniya Jahangir hamlet of Nawabganj in Bareilly. While both the sisters were sleeping in the verandah, their mother, father and brothers were sleeping inside a room. The accused sprinkled petrol over them after which both wake up and raised an alarm. However, the accused set them ablaze and jumped back and escaped from the spot. The teenagers were rescued by their family members who later rushed them to hospital with more than 70 percent burn. After fighting battle for more than 24-hours, both sisters reportedly succumbed.
Meanwhile 6 persons died and 12 other injured in separate road accident reported from Bulundshahr on Tuesday. Reports said that retired teacher Omprakash (63) and Dharmpal Singh (35) died in motorbike collision near Baraura gate at Pahasu-Danpur road. While Mittanlal got severely injured in this accident. In another incident a speeding truck rammed a motorbike near Noorpur village turn at Sikandarbagh-Jewar road in which a person and his grandson died on the spot. Deceased were identified as Bhimsen (55), his grandson Jaishiv (5) and grand daughter Yogita (3).
Sources said that villagers jammed the road after the incident and torched the truck. Mob started stone pelting in which a police vehicle got damaged. Senior police officers rushed to the spot to control the situation. Apart from this Niranjan Singh (50) was crushed by unknown vehicle in Khurja nagar near power house. Also 9 persons were injured in bus-taxi collision at Shikarpur Dibai national highway.
