A man was shot dead while four other suffer firearm injuries in an ambush planned by their rivals in Aligarh district on Sunday morning. According to reports, Shyam Singh of Gursana village under Iglas police station was going to sprinkle fertilizer in his fields. He was along with seven other persons who were accompanying him on a tractor. When the tractor reached at a culvert, the miscreants waylaid the victim and his associates opening burst firing. The miscreants then fled the scene.
Shyam’s body was sprayed with bullets and he died on the spot while other suffered critical injuries in the attack. Villagers rushed for the help of the victims and rushed them to hospital where the doctors declared Shyam as brought dead. Other injured are under treatment.
On the complaint of victim’s family the police registered a case against Bhura, Pappi, Kali and other unidentified persons in this connection. The family alleged that the above named miscreants were residents of same village and they had an enmity with victim on a property related issue. They alleged that as the victim did not give in to threatening made by the miscreants. “We had informed the police about this but did not get any help,’ they lamented.
