Unidentified bike borne miscreants shot dead a security guard deployed at Zonal Park in Ganganagar police station area of Meerut on Saturdaynight.
Satyendra lived with his family at I Block (house number 89) of a society colony in Ganaganagar. He was taking a round of the park when the miscreants attacked him and fled the scene. His colleagues rushed him to hospital where he was declared brought dead. Police registered a case against unidentified miscreants. The probing teams are yet to find out the motive behind the murder. Sources said Satyendra would have been attacked over some personal enmity and the modus operandi suggested that the miscreants had complete details regarding the routine of the victim.
Meanwhile, unidentified miscreants attempting loot at a rice mill attacked a watchman in Mandi police station area of Saharanpur district. Tejpal (62) of Halapur locality under Kotwali police station area was working at the mill for a long period of time. Around mid night the miscreants, who were laced with sticks and sharp edged weapon, stormed the mill. When the victim opposed them, they bludgeoned him to death and fled the scene. The staff dialed the police control room and a police team reached the place for investigation of the case. The police sent the body for post-mortem examination. A case has been registered against unidentified miscreants.
