In two separate sensational incidents, a minor girl was brutally assaulted to death over a petty dispute in Shahjahenpur while in another incident in Etah, a 6-year-old girl was raped after which the local women brutally assaulted the accused and also tried to burn him alive on Thursday morning.
According to reports in the first case lodged in Shahjahanpur, a 15-year-old girl was beaten to death by a group of 10 persons after an altercation in Atrauli villlage in Paraur area. The incident took place on Wednesday night when the victim, identified as Preeti had an altercation with some persons of the village after some petty dispute. The matter took an ugly turn when the villagers attacked the girl with sticks and rods in which she was critically injured. She was taken to hospital in unconscious state where the doctors who attended her pronounced her dead upon arrival. An FIR has been lodged against 10 persons in the regard. local police also claimed to have conducted raids to nab them but found all of them absconding from their houses.
In another case reported from Etah, a 6-year-old girl hailing from Margojiya hamlet of Kotwali Dehat on Agra Road is playing in the fields on Thursday morning. Her family members went to attend a last rites ceremony of a neighbour. The matter took an ugly turn when an unknown man suddenly nabbed the girl and forcibly took her in the bushes and raped her. Hearing the cries of the victim, some women working in the fields near-by rushed to her rescue. They managed to nab the culprit after which they brutally assaulted him. The women were so much agitated that they also sprinkle kerosene over the accused to torch him alive. However, local police reached the spot till than and saved the accused from their clutches. The accused was taken to District Hospital from where the doctors referred him to Medical College in Agra. A case has been registered in this regard but the local police yet to take custody of the accused. However, they deployed two cops so that the accused could not managed to escape from the hospital.
Meanwhile in another case reported from Muzaffarnagar, one more minor girl was allegedly raped by her uncle in Budhana area. According to a complaint lodged by the girl's father on Thursday morning, he claimed that his 10-year-old daughter was raped by her 21-year-old uncle on Wednesday night. It was alleged that the accused lured the girl from her house and took her to a nearby place where he raped her and escaped. The victim returned home in injured state and narrated the trauma after which her family members rushed her to hospital and informed the incident to the local police only on Thursday morning. local police registered a case and get the medical examination of the victim conducted before registering a case under the POCSO Act. The accused was still absconding and efforts were on to nab him.
